Description:

Barton Lake is located in Schoolcraft Township in Kalamazoo County. This Michigan lake consists of 329 acres of surface waters with reported depths of 7 feet. Fishermen report catches of Black Crappie, Bluegill, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Rock Bass, Sunfish, Northern Pike and Yellow Perch.

There is a public access site on Austin Lake off Fisherman’s Lane. The site offers a hard surface launch with ample parking for 26 cars.

Barton Lake is adjacent to Kimble Lake (95 acres), Tub Lake (7 acres), Black Lake (109 acres), Howard Lake and Goose Lake (25 acres).
