Description: Cavanaugh Lake is located on Cavanaugh Lake Road, 4 miles west of Chelsea, in Washtenaw County. Just take the Kalmbach Road exit on I 94 and head north one mile, you can’t miss it.

This Michigan lake consists of 199 acres of surface waters with reported depths of 20 feet.

Cavanaugh Lake hosts a small county park on the Southern side of the lake, with lakeside picnic areas, a picnic shelter, running water, vault style toilets, a play area for children and yes fishing is permitted. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to dusk, year around.

Cavanaugh Lake is close to several other Michigan Lakes including Spring Lake, Crooked Lake (113 acres), Mill Lake (163 acres), Sugarloaf Lake (205 acres), Clear Lake and Mud Lake (92 acres).

  Hello everyone,

Michigan is so beautiful in the summer, so many trees here; the sun is shining every day. We are getting plenty of rest and Herb and the boys are catching plenty of fish, everyday they go out and catch dinner. Tell Robert everything is okay and that we miss him.
