Dear Olive and Gene
Arthur, Homer and Mr. Blanchard went fishing at 6:30 a.m. When they got home is rained so hard. Monday and Tuesday we had no rain; it has been two months since they had any rain here. Any way my husband has really relaxed. This is a lovely spot and very quiet.

Dear Eleanor
We arrived here safely yesterday. The drive up here was lovely, everything went so good, found the cottage easily. The weather is warm. Frank and his brother said they are going fishing tonight.
There are several lakes in this area and it is so quiet here. I hope to read and write, I may even paint. Wish you were here, but understand the reason.
Love Dorothy

Marion,
We are having a jolly time in Michigan. So many trees, so many fish. Day after next we will leave and go to see John and Ann. They are about 120 miles from where we are staying. Miss ya.

Able,
It is so cold here, feel like we are the only ones on the lake. Went into town to pick up meal for dinner, all we do is eat and sleep.
