Description: Lake of the Woods is located in Decatur and Hamilton Townships in Southern Van Buren County, on the Northwest edge of the Village of Decatur Michigan. This Michigan lake consists of 265 acres of surface waters with reported depths of 34 feet. Fishermen report catches of Bluegill and Largemouth Bass. Lake of the Woods is 130 miles from Chicago, 36 miles from Elkhart, 40 miles from South Bend, just outside of Decatur, From I94 East to 51 South, 352 West, South on 47th.
