Description: Hogsett Lake is located in Portage and Schoolcraft Townships in Kalamazoo County. This Michigan lake consists of 81 acres of surface waters with reported depths of 32 feet. Fishermen report catches of Black Crappie, Bluegill and Large Mouth Bass. There is a public boat access is located on the East side of Hogsett Lake in the Prairie View park, off E U Ave. A fee is charged. Hogsett Lake is directly South of Gourdneck Lake (222 acres), both lakes are connected by a clearly marked channel. Both lakes are South of popular Austin Lake (1050 acres) and West Lake (335 acres). |
