Description: Sugarloaf Lake is located in Portage and Schoolcraft Townships in Kalamazoo County, east of US 131, adjacent to Little Sugarloaf Lake, south of Gourneck State game Area. This Michigan lake consists of 148 acres of surface waters with reported depths of 24 feet. Fishermen report catches of Black Crappie, Bluegill, Large Mouth Bass, Sunfish, Rock Bass, Northern Pike and Yellow Perch. Public lake access for Sugarloaf and Little Sugarloaf Lakes is located off Shaver Road. This site has a hard surface boat launch with parking for thirty five cars. |
