Description: Nichols Lake is located in Newaygo County just off Eleven Mile Road, just South of Walkup Lake (60 acres). Approximately 4.5 miles west of Highway M-37 The nearest community is Brohman Michigan which is about 2 miles south.

Nichols Lake hosts a Newaygo County campground which features 28 camping sites, a flush toilet and a vault style toilet, paved roads and a paved boat launch.

Nichols Lake Campground is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. Occupancy of the campground is on a first come, first serve basis, no reservations are accepted. 

Nichols Lake Campground provides an excellent opportunity for fishing, swimming, hiking or just relaxing.  The North Country National Scenic Trail goes through the campground near the boat ramp.  Fishing from the pier is permitted as well as on the sandy swimming beach. Fishermen report catches of walleye, bass, pike, perch or panfish.

  Dear Annie,

We have been here since Tuesday, will be here for a couple more days and then head further north. On the way home, we are hoping to stop and see your Aunt and Uncle Smits. Enjoyed a very tasty fish dinner last night with a glass of wine.

Time is going by so fast, Hank has been fishing with his brother every day. I have been knitting and reading each day. He has caught a cold, a little grumpy at times. Weather is clear, sunny and warm, cooler evenings.
