Description:

Bankson Lake is located in Porter Township in Southeastern Van Buren County, just south of Lawton. This Michigan lake consists of 202 acres of surface waters with reported depths of 42 feet.

Bankson Lake is known as a good Walleye fishing lake with its bays and coves, also having been stocked in the past with Tiger Musky. Fishermen also report catches of Muskellunge and Northern Pike. Located in the heart of Michigan's wine country.

One nice feature of Bankson Lake is the natural lakefront on the lake with it being the home to two summer youth camps. Generally seasonal camps make good neighbors. Before you think camp is just for kids, think again. Marriage camp, man camp and women's camp are just a few options here. Thinking old cabins or tents? Check out the lodge, you may rethink the idea of camps.

The public access site for Bankson Lake consists of a gravel ramp, parking, and restrooms. The site is located on the north side of the lake, off 80th Avenue.
