Sage Lake is located in Hill Township in Ogemaw County, Southeast of George Lake and Rifle Lake (182 acres), Southwest of North Dease Lake (174 acres) and South Dease Lake (269 acres).

This Michigan lake consists of 785 acres of surface waters with reported depths up to 80 feet.

Fishermen report catches of Bass, Bullheads,  Bowfish, Crappie, Panfish, Perch and Pike.

There is a public access site on the Northeast side of the lake, just off Sage Lake Road. The site has a hard surface ramp, toilets and parking for 35 cars.
