Description: Portage Lake is located in Hamburg and Putnam Townships in Livingston County and Dexter Township in Wastenaw County, adjacent to Little Portage Lake (101 acres) and Base Line Lake. This Michigan lake consists of 644 acres of surface waters, with reported depths of 60 feet. There is a public access site on the Southeast side of the lake off McGregor Road. Fishermen report catches of Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Perch and Tiger Muskie. |
